When it became obvious that we needed to lower the interest rate and payments on your house mortgage, I contacted our current company to see what they could do. Nothing. They no longer wrote mortgages for our state. We were at ground zero. We used a company to provide us with 3-4 mortgage companies that could do business in our state. We got three quotes. Two of the quotes were close, but only Quicken Loans was rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. Our Senior Mortgage Banker from Quicken Loans was personable and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions, and those of our financial adviser. The process was quick, transparent, well explained, well documented, and rather pleasant. Quicken Loans told us what to expect at each stage of the process. The on-line site is fabulous. Documents were handled on-line--reviewing, submitting, and even signing. When closing came, a Notary Public came to our home with all of the paperwork we had to sign and initial. It was a fast and efficient operation. If I ever have to do this again, I'll call on Quicken Loans.
