We spent many months dealing with a local bank to refinance our home. We had to make many trips with additional paperwork, and each time the bank would not return our phone calls and our old paperwork would expire. The apprasial was a joke down to the square footage of the house being different from when we originally purchased.  Eventually we became so frustrated we decided to stop the process. A few months passed and we discussed our options. This is when I found quicken loans. I had read some bad reviews about quicken online and was hesitant to deal with them. I decided it wouldn't hurt to make a call and see what they had to say. The person I talked with was very helpful and gave me many options the bank had not mentioned. We decided to try again. Our first call was on Wednesday. 7 days later we had our apprasial. The following week we set up our closing and closed 3 days later. From the first phone call the total time to close was 20 days. It was fabulous. The closing was done right in our house on our schedule. The service was fantastic start to finish. I made several phone calls through out the process to ask questions and a few times asked about changing the original agreement and was always met with the feeling that we were on my time and would set up the loan in any way that we wanted. I really thought it sounded too good to be true and have always been leary of those situations but start to finish this was the real deal and we are very pleased with the outcome.
