Pros: High definition picture is wonderful (when it works)
Cons: DTC 100 broke shortly after purchased. RCA very slow to respond to needed part.
The Bottom Line: Beautiful picture when viewing high definition programs. Angry and dissatisfied with my treatment in resolving my repair problem.

Update 1/26/04
My DTC 100 was eventually repaired six months after it was given to the shop. Evidently RCA didn't have the part. The High definition programming looks spectacular. The analog programming converted to digital is sometimes second rate. Fortunately more and more programming is Hi-def. HDTV is wonderful to see. By the way, my TV set is back in the shop and I am still waiting for repairs.
I had to send my RCA big screen TV M52100 (less than a year old) into the shop for repairs. Three and a half months later it was returned. Unfortunately, the original symptoms are still there. Fortunately they now occur less often. Nevertheless, after three and a half months in the repair shop you would think RCA would get it right. Apparently, RCA is mystified as to what is wrong with it so I am stuck with a nearly new monitor that has occasional problems.
What does this have to do with the DTC 100? When my RCA TV was returned after three and a half months in the shop I discovered that the DTC 100 that I had purchased just a little over three months before my TV was taken to the shop no longer worked. More than eight months after my TV set was taken in for repairs my TV set still does not work quite right and my DTC 100 still doesn't work at all. To give the whole grizzly story about my dealings with RCA would take many pages so I will spare you.I have read many horror stories regarding RCA before. Boy do these stories ring true based upon my own experience with RCA. I can honestly say that dealing with RCA has been the worst experience that I have ever had in my life with a manufacturer - bar none. I suspect that I will eventually trash the DTC100 and look for another solution.
