Unreliable stock & order status

This was my first (and last) experience with target.com. I'd previously ordered Target items way back when they were serviced by Amazon and was pleased with the service. I've also been happy with the 2 local stores.
It was a mistake to expect the same service from target.com. I ordered a Blu-Ray disc of a popular title, listed as "in stock" when I ordered. 2 days later the item status becomes "ships in 4-6 weeks" and then back to "in stock" another 2 weeks later. All this time, my order is stuck at "shipping soon", and customer service states the order can't be cancelled because the item is supposedly shipping "soon". Lessons learned: 1. "In stock" does not mean that, and 2. Don't shop at target.com if you need your items in a timely or predictable fashion.
My item still has not shipped, and my intention is to return the item to the local Target store for a refund and buy it cheaper elsewhere, since prices have dropped in the >2 weeks target.com has been sitting on my order.
