FootSmart Online has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I ordered a pair of shoes from FootSmart on June 1. A package arrived 7 days later. However, it was not the shoes I ordered. I quickly called Customer Service and was told that the shoes I ordered were out of stock, so they sent me a different pair of shoes. Who does this? The shoes I received were nothing like the shoes I ordered. The shoes I received were not even a size I could wear.
I explained that this was unacceptable and was told I could return the shoes and I would get a refund. Unfortunately they said that they had to get the shoes back BEFORE they would issue a refund and that I had to pay for the return shipping. This entire fiasco was all their fault and they felt I was responsible for the return shipping?
After several stressful minutes of arguing they finally agreed to pay for the return shipping but I would not see a refund until they received the returned shoes.
After several years of shopping online, I have never encountered such a poor example of business practices. I would not recommend FootSmart to anyone. In fact I would caution everyone considering shopping there to look elsewhere.
As for me the WRONG shoes are on their way back to FootSmart and I happened to find the right shoes today at Amazon for less.
