The Bottom Line "Just like an old time movie, 'Bout a ghost from a wishing well.....And I will never be set free as long as I'm a ghost that you can't see."
Lisa hung up the phone and stared down at it. Her face had turned ashen and her hands were sweating. She turned to her family that was playing around with Greg. They were tryng to teach him martial arts moves. She walked over and sat down hard in a chair. She started holding her face. "Mom. What's wrong?" Michael asked. "We're not going to Japan." Lisa said sharply. "Japan isn't there." "What?!" They all said at once. "Japan has suffered a magtitude 9 earthquake. Shortly thereafter they had a 45 foot tsunami flooding a mile inland. On top of that a nuclear plant was destroyed. They are fighting to cool it down. They have had after shocks one per hour. The Bat Cave is safe for now, but they haven't assessed all the damage. We're going to have to go back to the house and live there. They have the decorationg almost finished, but we can live around them. I know there was a lot of things planned, but it's over for now. Thousands of people are missing and thousands more are missing. There is nothing I can do, but offer my services of goods and services. I've already put it into affect. Whole villages are gone. Whole towns are gone.." Lisa explained through her tears. "This is a joke. Right?" Greg said with a smile. Lisa sat back in her chair. Tears were running down her cheeks. Greg lost his smile. "I, uh, I'm sorry. I guess I'll get along home. You guys have quite a bit to talk about." Greg was out the door before Lisa could stop him. "Bun Pei said he would teach you to ride Samarai style and I've arranged fora you to go through American Ninja Fighter. I'm not sure when you can start your riding lessons, but he will let me know." Lisa sighed heavily. " hope it's enough." "Mom, it's always enough. You're a great mother. It''ll work out. You'll see." Michael said. "If it weren't for you and your support we wouldn't have been the people we are today. Dad sure didn't stick around." Haden said angrily. "Don't diss your dad. You don't know what he was going through. I surely did something wrong or he'd be here now." Lisa said. "Bullsh_t! If he was the man he should be he would have helped take up his part. He wouldn't have left a woman like you for a slut like Pam!" Lisa was too tired to argue. "Whatever. We have to get ready and go to our house. It's going to be our home once again. I hope you like the rennovations." Lisa tried to lighten things up. It wasn't a success. The kids all had long faces. |
