Pros:Endless supply of hot water. Space saving design.
Cons:No one seems to know how to service them. Endless repairs.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this product unless you are prepared to learn how to do your own repairs, and have the money to do it often.
We bought our Bosch Tankless water heater five years ago after building our first new home. We had two teenage daughters, and were excited about the endless supply of hot water and were impressed with the Energystar ratings. Well, it didn't take long before the problems began. First of all, we couldn't take a shower without the water turning ice cold after about two minutes. After much calling around to different dealers with nobody seeming to know what to do about the problem, we figured out by trial and error if we ran a stream of hot water in the sink while showering we could regulate our water temperature. Next came the the endless replacement of parts (all done by my husband, via internest instructions, because no one in our area new how to work on these). Next came the condensation of water in our unit (twice), that resulted in no hot water for us until we put another couple of hundred bucks in parts to repair this problem (again, my husband). We finally got tired of pouring money into this thing to no avail, and just had it taken out and replaced with a good old reliable gas water heater today. Needless to say, we are very happy and relieved to be rid of this money drain. Take my adivice, don't waste your money of one of these. The headaches are endless.
