I will not be using Macys.com ever again due to this experience!

I have just gotten off the phone with Macys.com customer service - and I use that term lightly! I tried to order a wedding gift online and entered my order and chose to use a credit card that was already on file. I entered the billing name and address per the instructions and attempted to place the order. The system replied that there was a problem with my payment method and that I should use another card. So, I tried to enter the card again - manually, and again, the same answer. So, my husband called the Visa service and they said that there were DUPLICATE charges for this gift that were 'pending'. I called Macys.com C.S. The rep explained (in an accent that was difficult to understand) that they would be happy to 'trace' my order but it would take 24 to 72 hours! She explained that I am not the only one who has this problem, she didn't even ask for my name or for any information about the transaction. I couldn't cancel order and I couldn't resolve the problem! So, my husband told the Visa service to cancel the charges for this gift and now we will not have a gift mailed to the bride and groom. Despite numerous requests, the customer service rep explained that there was nothing she could do other than 'track' the order and see what happened! I can't believe that a company like Macy's does not offer better service or use a more advanced system for online orders!
