Lisa dropped her suit cases on the floor of her bedroom then flopped across her bed on her back. She couldn't believe she was home. She was supposed to be on a plane going to Japan. Her mind was in a thousand places and a thousand times. She was feeling guilt from the first time she met Murdock until the moment she flopped on her bed. It was the first time she admitted to herself how much she needed Murdock. "You forgot a suit case." Lori said peeking in the door. Lisa didn't know that her kids had called her. "Where'd you come from?" "The same place you did." Lori joked. "The kids called. They figured you'd need someone." "I am so f*cked. I have no one. I am no one. And now My whole world plans have changed. How does that happen?" "That's called life." Lori said. "I don't know what I've done wrong. It must have been all the crap I diid to Murdock. He'd be here if I had treated him. better." "Now stop right there. He did his best, too. Best to drive you nuts. And you certainly didn't blow up Japan." "I might as well have. Maybe it was a sign saying stay away from Japan. I Think that the last straw was us letting them see us kill those bikers. If I had it to do again...." "You'd do it the same way. You and I were saving the guys' lives. Pam had sent them over to kill us all. Remember?" "What about going after our brothers and sisters. What about the cancer thing. What about sending them packing. It's all crap." Lisa protested. "He forgave you as I recall. Your're still his perfect little baby girl." Lori said. "So. There is one more thing. Get me some jogging pants out of my closet.''Lisa went into her bathroom. When she came back Lori was shocked. "How did that happen?! Oh.....you were holding it back. Why" "I was trying to decide what to do." "To do?! You can't give up that child into the world . No one will understand it. Oh sh^t! You were going to abort it." "Them. It's twins. A boy and a girl."The only one that knows is Dr. Elliott." "Murdoch should know." Lori said. "Bullsh^t. He's not going to know even after they are born. This is my little secret." "Secret. Sh^t." "No matter what don't tell Murdoch." Lisa said smoothing her clothes over her baby bump. "By the way, what did you mean by the baby girl thing.?" "I was just suggesting that if he were here today that would be how he would feel." "Yeah right. Then why isn't he here? Lisa said. "I am." Murdock said. Lisa shook as if she were in a deep freeze She was afraid to turn around. What would she say? What would she do? He couldn't see that she was pregnant. "Oh, no. She whispered.  |
