I can't believe there is actually a book that advocates this kind of treatment, let alone that people actually follow this advice! Scary!
I used both of the baby signing books you mentioned and they are great! I think our first signs were drink and eat, maybe hat because she already did that. Cool books!
Great review on a book I will never buy!

Hi:
I can't believe this review - not the review, but the book. I don't have kids, but sheesh, this is ridiculous. Positive reinforcement is more effective than negative reinforcement. Always.
What are these nutcases thinking by using the crib as a punishment? What happens at bedtime when your kid has been good, but you put them in their crib? What is that telling them? That's mixed messages.
Is there anywhere in this book where they talk about rewarding your kid when they are good?
Well, there's my rant!
