Out of all the possible beverages out there, aside from water, tea is definitely what I consume the most. I drink it all day long and just can’t seem to get enough! From the taste to the health benefits, tea has always been an alluring beverage to me. For the past few years, enjoyingtea.com has been my primary source of obtaining all my teas. The company offers a large variety of quality teas, but it’s the price that keeps me coming back! The website offers an array of loose-leaf teas, teabags, teapots, teacups, and tea accessories. You can find anything ranging from Indian black teas, Japanese green teas, South African rooibos teas, to aged Chinese Puerh teas. They also provide a number of organic options. The website is very easy to navigate with a navigation bar on both the left-hand side as well as across the top of the screen to help you find what you need, or as I often do, just browse the wide variety of products offered. All shipping has a flat rate of $3.98 which I find to be highly reasonable. Aside from the tea samples which are sometimes shipped in a small metal canister, all of the teas are packaged in heat-sealed, zip-up pouches. All orders are processed within 2 business days and then shipped. All of my shipments have arrived on time (on average it takes 4 days from the day I place my order to receive my shipment). Absolutely no complaints there! Enjoyingtea.com offers a number of promotional deals. With a simple google search you can find promotional codes (limit 1 per order) that generally give you 15% off your entire order. Also, with each purchase you can order a free sample of loose-leaf tea from the list they provide, which tends to change every few months. You can also order a free sample box of tea bags as well. I must admit, the first few orders I was unaware of these promotional offers because they aren’t in broadcasted in huge letters or anything. But if you click on “promotional offers” on the left-hand side towards the bottom you will be directed to your free sample offers. Other deals enjoyingtea.com offers: Free shipping with purchase over $60 Free teacup with loose tea purchase of over $80 Free tea with purchase of any tea set or teapot Most of my purchases have been loose-leaf green teas, although lately I’ve been purchasing some oolong and herbal teas as well. Some of my favorite purchases to date have been the Organic Jasmine Green Tea, Organic Gyokuro Green Tea, and Sencha Green Tea. The Organic Jasmine Green Tea has a strong yet not overbearing floral aroma and flavor of jasmine, the Organic Gyokuro has a vegetal/”grassy” taste yet sweet finish which I personally love, and the Sencha is a good any-time-of-day green tea. I have also recently gained an affinity for rooibos tea, which comes from a plant that grows in South Africa. I have tried the Organic Green Rooibos and would highly recommend it. The rooibos is sweet, slightly grassy, somewhat floral - it’s a difficult tea to describe with words, but I can assure you it tastes great and is caffeine free, making it a great tea for any time of day. A good way to go if you are unsure about what to purchase is to try one of their numerous tea samplers. That way, you can try a few teas and decide what you like before purchasing a larger amount. Now, I will not lie to you, there have been some teas I have tried from the website that I personally did not like that much. The Organic Sencha just did not live up to it’s non-organic companion, and a few of the Chinese green teas, such as the Chun Mee Green Tea, did not particularly suit my taste. Having said that, I’ve slowly learned that I prefer Japanese green teas to Chinese green teas in general, and I’ve read that organic teas often taste slightly different than the non-organic variety due to differences in the soil and fertilizer. Case in point, not every tea is going to suit your individual taste, but that is not necessarily a fault of the tea or company. As stated in the opening paragraph, the price is the main reason I keep coming back to enjoyingtea.com. The cost for what you receive is by far the best deal I have come across on the web! For example, on a competing website, 3oz. of Organic Gyokuro Green Tea costs $35, while on enjoyingtea.com I can purchase 4oz. for $18.98. Now, do I think the teas from enjoyingtea.com are the best out there? No, I’m sure there are teas of a higher caliber out there. But I'm going to go out on a whim and assume that most of us don't have hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to spend on a few ounces of tea. Having said that, the teas the company provides are definitely good quality (far better than anything you’ll find in a supermarket) and for the money, you definitely cannot beat it!
As for customer service, the only time I have ever contacted the company was to ask about the source of some of their teas. They were prompt and emailed me back the following day with a satisfactory answer. I have never had to contact customer service for a complaint, so I suppose that is a plus in itself.
Any downsides? I do wish the website would provide a bit more detail as to where they get their teas. Each tea has a short summary about where it comes, it's history, and it's primary use/health benefits, but I personally would prefer some more detail. I would also like to see a greater variety of organic teas, but seems to me that every time I check back they are adding more and more options.
Overall, I have been beyond pleased with my experiences at enjoyingtea.com. From the low costs to wide variety, everyone will be able to find something to satisfy their taste. Sure, tea snobs may not be completely satisfied, as I am sure there better teas out there for those who can afford to spend a pretty penny on tea, but for the general population, the quality of teas offered are sure to exceed one's expectations. And best of all, the price cannot be beat!
Definitely recommended.
