Not every on-line writer gets the chance to shepherd the efforts of many of his on-line friends and share the best of their writing. The last nine years have offered me the chance each November to challenge my fellow Epinions members and friends to write their 'best' in a clear, concise, 'lean-n-mean' manner.
I am honored to throw down the 'lean-n-mean' gauntlet once again.
As always, the basic ground rules, essentially unchanged from day one:
• November 12, today, through December 11; four weeks is plenty, right..??
• 667 words or less. ( I am not counting them. 700 is probably OK. Beyond that ... you are on your own; and you risk being called out as a fraud..! )
• Product reviews only, 'regular reviews' only.
• Overall-rated 'Somewhat Helpful', 'Helpful' and 'Very Helpful' reviews only.
• If you choose to, link back here at the bottom (or somewhere) on your review
• No 'delete and republish'.
. . .( you will be privately ...if not publicly ...scorned )
• Recruit your fellow members.
• Invite strangers on the street.
• Invite your favorite (and perhaps not-so-favorite!) fellow writers.
• Talk some smack at another category ('books' vs 'movies' has been a traditional rivalry...)
• Write as many reviews as you want.
• Write in as many categories as you want.
• Double-dip in other write-offs, as many as you want.

-- If you wanna write an 'SH' review, go for it. Time I live up to my oft-stated 'write it like you want' creed. I do not think an SH review or three will pollute the 'lean-n-mean' pool.

-- Most importantly . . .have fun. Writing at Eps should not be a chore or a pain in the arse.
