I've read some of these reviews from people who say they never do auto-renews, so were surprised when classmates.com auto-renewed them.  I think most people blame themselves when this happens -- i.e., they think "I must have forgotten" or something.

I joined classmates.com when they offered a year of their premium membership for $10.  I knew that they did auto-renewals, so I MADE SURE I changed my account from the default auto-renew to MANUAL.  Despite this, they still auto-renewed my account and charged my credit card $39.  This happened in the year that they changed from classmates.com to memorylane, and I am wondering if they automatically changed EVERYONE back to auto-renew, thinking we wouldn't notice.  I noticed, and I challenged it with my credit card, and they refunded me immediately.  But what a scam!!
