This is going to seem a little odd because, although I only rated Audible.com 2 stars, I'm still recommending it.
On the surface, it's really is a great idea. They have converted "Books On Tape" to a digital format that can be stored...Return to opinion

Some good points, but I would have liked to have heard more about the audio files. Are they proprietary? Are they in a standard format, like MP3? Also, I went to the site and signed up, out of curiousity, and the site tried to install an ActiveX control on my machine. What the heck was that? Then I had to install some sort of software just to play the sound file! It all seemed like a mess, just to play audiobooks.
Other than lacking in the areas I mention, I liked the review.

Thanks so much!
I really wanted Audible to be better - I love the concept. But it seemed to keep stuttering, and I finally discontinued my membership :-(
