A scanner for the photo bug

The Bottom Line: If you are using Windows 95, 98, or ME, this scanner is a steal. Pick one up if you can find one.
If you're like me, you have boxes and boxes of photos. Some may be in boxes, some in albums, some are probably lost in storage somewhere. The Polaroid PhotoMax film scanner is nice for those who wish to catalog some of their photos onto their computers or onto photo-cds.
This scanner is a basic, low-cost solution. The small footprint is a plus for those without the deskspace for a full sized flatbed scanner. The software is basic and easy to use. Although the twain driver allows you to scan directly into office applications without using Polaroid's PhotoMax software.
Polaroid doesn't seem to be supporting this model anymore. With the company recently filing for bankrupcy, it is unlikely new drivers will ever be produced. That is a shame since there doesn't seem to be any drivers for Windows XP.
