With the prices of RAM skydiving these days, one can find great deals just about anywhere. However, with the bargains, one usually sacrifices the customer service. With Crucial, you get both. I just built a new system and purchased my RAM from crucial because of their low prices and wide selection of namebrand memory modules. The order arrived rather quickly. Installation was a breeze, but the system did not respond to the RAM. After checking and re-checking the setup, I concluded the problem lies in the RAM itself. As an avid computer user, I can vouch that the tech support knew what they were talking about. They told me my memory is faulty and they would ship me new ones right away and the RMA department was very pleasant to work with. The replacement was promptly delivered but they again did not work. The second encounter with their tech support surprised me. The technician put me on hold to speak with a contact from the manufacturer of my motherboard. Quickly, he found out that my motherboard was not compatible with that specific module, which from the specifications I saw, seemed compatible. I can't say other memory vendors can provide that much quality support or have access to such needed information. Again, the RMA issued me a return number and my credit was reinstated without problems.
