I hope that your Mother is with you for many more years. [My Mom became pregnant with me at 22 - so cherish every year.]
You offer some great suggestions for those who want to spend just a little more time to get some individual [and local] service.
Thanks for the hint.
[Yes, my younger brother and his family still reside in Mooresville.]

Hi Gungian (Reply to this comment)

I'm so sorry you lost your mom. Mine is only 18 yrs older than me, so I think I'll have a mom for a long time. I hope so anyway.
Great review (as always).
I did want to add a tip though. Any online is a go between. If you run Google with the city and flowers, then you can buy direct. The downside is that you can't see the flowers before, but many online buys are changed due to lack of supply at any given local shop.
Generally I just call, explain what the flowers are for, give a general idea of what I want like type of flowers or colors and then ask them to just make it look good. I think florists enjoy the creative edge there, and I've never been disappointed with that approach.
I am the flower queen in my family if you didn't guess. My sis and brothers count on me to take care of those kinds of things.
I must live really near your brother. Is he still in Mooresville?

I am sorry for your cross. Some are much more difficult to bear than others.
Wishing you continued strength.

your original post, as I was spending more time with my mother, whom I knew was nearing the end. Thanks for reposting it. It just shows that whether we know or not, it's hard to lose a parent. I'm glad FTD came through for you. Thanks for sharing!
Sincerely, Pat

Susi:
I checked with customer service at FTD.com about the non-delivery.
They said that the delivery slip shows that it was accepted by Sarah - although the signature looks suspiciously like a paw print!
Is there any sign of greenery residue under the couch cushions?

My condolences on the loss of your Mother, Teresa.
Pain changes over time. It may never go away - but it does change.
Hang in there.

Thanks, Tom.
I suppose one of these days I'll have to post on some products that I DON'T like.
Hmmm!

HOWEVER ...... I looked and looked yesterday and didn't see a single delivery truck pull up in front of my house. Now I realize they were probably busy, but certainly not that busy.
Just kidding Gung - your verbal hugs are longer lasting than any flower :)
Great review

for this nice review and tribute to your mother. Mine has passed away 9 years ago and I still cried when I read your review.
Anyway, life goes on , and I'm going to look at FTD.com , from what you said it must be very interesting..

I'm sure Mrs. G enjoyed the flowers, and I am happy your use of this service this go round was for a pleasant experience.
The flower from Mom's still looks pretty good, and I have to tell you, as a year ago..I miss her, and love you.
Brilliant posting as always, dang what a way to start my day.
Hugs & Kisses

It's the scent that sold me (Reply to this comment)

Since I missed a daughter-in-law's birthday, by this time tomorrow I will have 'scent' her a belated birthday and belated Valentine's day rememberance. Good advice, thank you. This site seemed to have been there for you when you lost your Mom last year - and your description of what your family went through bought a tear. A helpful although touching review.
