Febreze Set and Refresh - Freshen the Room Without Plugs or Battteries!

Written: Sep 04 '11 (Updated Sep 04 '11)
Pros:a breeze to use, effective
Cons:none
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line is this product really scents my area well and is easy to use!

I have a small classroom that tends to get very warm.  I constantly have two fans going for such a small room and have to often close my door when I'm with my students. So between the warm and the bodies my room gets to smelling like, well, children.  I didn't want to purchase a tart warmer for such a small room and I have very limited outlet space for a plug in, so my husband came home with a new product for me to try for my classroom this year ... Febreze Set and Refresh.

I wasn't sure how this was going to work but I was willing to give it a try.

What you get is a typical Febreze product - familiar fragrances and an oil.  This oil though is housed in almost a blister like looking pack.  The pack has a strong backing to it and is sealed and you can see the oil secured in the middle of it.  It also comes with a decorative plastic holder, much like a small tissue holder with opening, though slimmer and with some venting holes.  It doesn't require any batteries or anything to plug in. It has a flat bottom and an area at the bottom you can "pull up" to release more scent.

The directions state to simply slide the blister oil pack down the center of the holder.  It has a small, thin area it almost snaps into and rests.  Then the scent is slowly released (the company claims it has a "microporous membrane material which allows the perfume to continuously release into the air over time.") I have no idea how this is working - I have shaken the thing, held it upside down, pulled the oil pack in and out - I have no idea how the scent seems to be releasing ...

but it is!

Within 10 minutes my room had a lovely scent, and the scent continues to work. It was so strong with the bottom pulled out that I had to close it up. It is decorative and attractive to look at, and does not scream "I am trying to cover up smells in this room!"  They come in different colors depending on the Febreze scent ... the current one I am using is a light orange to match the Hawaiian Aloha scent.

I have my Set and Refresh sitting in my small room to the side of a room fan and it scents the room well. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and the oil only looks a little lower in the pack.  The company claims this should scent an area for at least 30 days.

I am very, very pleased with Febreze's Set and Refresh and have purchased multiples in a variety of scents and have them stored in their original packaging waiting to use in my room this year.
