I have used Half.com now for a couple of months and love it! I have never actually bought anything because I am leery of buying used items. But selling wise, it's a great way to get rid of your old clutter. I just received a check yesterday actually!

Great writing...have a nice weekend!

Hi MrLarry!

I agree. I should have included that in my review. I do avoid any *new* sellers and always read comments left by buyers who have had experience with the person that I am buying from prior to my purchase. Great point you made here. I will update my review tomorrow to include that. Thank you!

I too have had great experiences with half.com, though I have be only a buyer. I have bought almost as much as you have and have gotten some great deals. I recommend it highly. Just be sure you buy from reputable sellers, especially for items that are expensive or that you need very much.

I saw a CD I wanted on Half.com but was a little unsure about buying anything over the Internet. This site sounds good, thanks for the informative review!

Great!!!

I know that most things are cheap and as I commented on in a previous comment, some people don't know what they are selling cheap. But many do. I think this one qualifies as one of those who knows! lol Glad you found what you were looking for!

I got an email from half.com letting me know that they finally have a copy of a technical text (out-of-print) that I know my husband dearly wants. Not cheap at $73.00, but I'd have paid any price for this one: it's nearly impossible to get.

His birthday present is now on the way. :-)

Treasures! You are right. You never know what you will find there. Often times, people put things on there that could be worth a significant amount and don't even realize it. Many old books are worth way more than you have to pay for them!

I used this site when it had a coupon and i thought I'd try it out.

I found an original Santa Mouse book that my daughter had back in the early 80's and we left in Oregon many years ago. She was VERY happy to have it replaced!

I should go back and see what other treasures I can find!

Another Plus: (Reply to this comment)

They are very good friends with Epinions.

On the downside, sometimes "full.com" would be more accurate. Some merch is new and at full retail. I'd rather just buy it in person at the store, save shipping and all.

I'd be curious to know if the commission works out higher or lower than e-bay. The site seems like it gets more hits than e-bay, especially for books and records which often seem to sit on e-bay without getting a single bid.

sell reliable goods. :) I've had several books for sale on that site for several months, so far no buyers. Perhaps time to lower my price?

I buy ALL of my books and CD's there! Why pay 16 bucks for a CD when you can get it for 2, eh?
