Hotwire has won my business for life!
I made arrangements through Hotwire for a rental car when I was to go home to my high school reunion. I rented a car for ten days at an incredible price, saving me around $150 over Budget's prices.
I was supposed to be picking up my car tomorrow. Two weeks ago, my brother died suddenly, and I had to fly home for his funeral. When I arrived, my best friend let me use her car. I contacted Hotwire and told them why I had to cancel my trip and asked if there was any way I could use my reservation later.
The Hotwire csr (who, by the way, was easy to understand (no accent) and was very polite) told me if I faxed them my brother's obituary listing me as a direct family member, and a document linking my name to his, they would credit my trip for the future. They said to expect to hear from them in 7 to 10 days.
Yesterday, just 3 days after I sent the fax, I received an email from Hotwire, saying that they were refunding the total amount of my purchase back to my credit card.
Thank you, Hotwire! You helped me get through a horrible event by giving me back my money. I will never hesitate to use your services again.
