My entire experience in this process was absolutely pain free!!  Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful.  They guided me through the process without complaint - and each step was thoroughly explained - in terms I could easily understand.  Each question I had was answered completely and by the friendliest banking staff I have EVER dealt with.  The process was streamlined by means of using different "teams" to handle each phase of the loan process.  My original contact person even went the extra mile to find the perfect way to maximize my savings by rolling another small loan into the home loan - which ended up saving me nearly $400 per month.   The two other institutions I spoke with advised against refinancing because I'd only had the home for less than 3 years  they didn't even look at other possibilities, they simply pretty much just "wrote me off".   The closing was quick, too - less than a month after the loan application was initiated - AND they even sent a closing attorney to my home for the closing - I didn't have to leave the house!  What great service. I have already recommended Quicken to several friends, and will continue to do so - in my opinion, those people went "above and beyond" to assist me with
