If you're still laughing at Dikitana, you might want to begin to take Ion Storm seriously. This masterpeice of a game scores well in all catagories making it a gaming experience.
The gameplay is fluid. The entire storlyline moves smoothly with a nicly written plot full of action, betrayal, and conspiracy. I would write a short summary, but for space conseideration, I won't. Besides, it's a lot more fun seeing it for yourself.
Although the game does include software rendering, you'll want to have a nice 3D acceleartor to fully experience this game. I recomend a Glide supported 3dfx card, but Nvidia cards also work nicely.
A personal favorite point of this game is the sound content. A cool feature is how the backgroud musical score changes within the game depending on your actions. The voice acting is clear and adds to the plot.
The controls can be slighly complex, but certinly not overwhelming. Even in the most tense firefights, you should be able to act quickly and effeciently using the costomizable controls. Like in other FPS games, the Keyboard/Mouse combination remains the absolute best way to play. On a side note, I can't even imagine playing the Playstation2 version of this game with a clunky controler.
