I have found Dealtime.com to be a very helpful web site when I'm purchasing something online. My first tentative purchases online where exclusively from Amazon . Purchasing thru this behemoth was reassuring and their service was just fine, thank you.
As I became more familiar with the web, I heard about Dealtime . Here- at a single website- I could compare prices from different stores all over the internet. I now had choices. I now had an array of prices. I didn't have to buy from the same store every time. What a concept!
The Dealtime website is very clearly arranged. I have found it easy to navigate intuitively. You can drill down from the general category to a specific item, search by price or, type in keywords if you already know exactly for what you are looking. The layout and organization of the site compares favorably to Amazon.com and far ahead of Ebay .
Let's say I'm looking for the study guide to Alexander Elder's Trading for a Living for example. I just type the title into a search and up pop several selections from such sites as Powell's Books and Half.com . Prices in this example range from $18.00 to $ 57.95 . Information is listed concerning shipping and whether or not the guide is currently in stock. A simple click will take you to Half. com and from there you came make your purchase at $18 plus shipping and handling.
You can also use the search functions to go from a general topic to more specific items. For instance, when browsing thru the Home & Garden section you'll find sub-headings such as Appliances, Tools, Pets, and Furniture. Let's say you are looking for a desk chair. You can easily limit your search to a certain minimum and maximum price range. Hmmm... that one from Office Max looks just about right.
I have discovered several great shopping sites by comparing prices here. Dealtime offers a vast selection of items for you to examine. You could compare electronics, movies, software, golf clubs, clothing, even cars. The selection is quite comprehensive.
The caliber of online merchants that are featured at Dealtime is first rate. Merchants with household names like OfficeMax.com , Half.com , and Cooking.com are listed. You can always buy from a merchant you know or you can give a less familiar name like Abner's Discount Basement a try.
The search function can be a bit slow at times. Nothing major ( 10-15 seconds ) and when the results do pop up the information is very beneficial. I'll agree it's a lot faster than shopping thru the various web sites one by one.
Dealtime is easy to navigate and a pleasure to use.It can save you money and introduce you to some interesting web sites. It's on my favorites list. If you don't use it already, try it. If you like saving time and money, I'll bet soon Dealtime will be high on your list.
