I received a mortgage from Quicken Loans. I moved to a new state, for a new job, with my husband and 2 young kids. Another co-worker moved here at the same time as me, and she had searched for a home prior to moving so she closed soon after we started. She had some complications getting a loan from a local bank, and ended up using Quicken Loans. She highly recommended them. So when I found a house that I was interested in I got a pre-approval from Quicken Loans. When everything was agreed upon and signed for the purchase, I went back to Quicken Loans.
The underwriting was bit complicated as we were moving states, my husband hadn't started his job in the new state, we were renting our old home out (thank you Housing Crisis), and we were changing banks. However, although I got frustrated with the underwriters because they didn't seem to know what some of the documents they were asking for were, my Quicken Loans representative and at one point her manager, were very responsive with helping me out and with communicating with the underwriter and we eventually get everything settled.
The representatives from Quicken Loans were knowledgable, timely in responding to my questions, polite and worked late hours. Throughout the process I felt like they actually cared about me being able to close on the house in a timely manner. Not just for their best interest, but for me as well.
When I went to closingthe agent at the closing office raved about working with Quicken Loans. She told me how prompt they were and that she had the funds first thing that morning, that the paperwork was simple and ready on time, and that the representative that she worked with was knowledable and friendly. She also told the same thing to my lawyer. This was her first closing with Quicken Loans and she seemed to be extremely impressed. My lawyer agreed that the paperwork fromQuicken that we needed to fill out at closing was concise and therefore there wasn't a crazy amount of signing. We actually completed the closing in less than a half an hour. My lawyer stated this was becuase Quicken made it simple.
By the way, I received a $5 gift card for writing this review, regardless of whether I had a positive or negative experience.
