When I moved into my first apartment, 1,000 miles from home, one of the first things I realized was that I forgot to bring my mouse and keyboard!

Thankfully, BestBuy was open, and I found this Memorex keyboard along with a Memorex mouse for free after rebates.

I can't even begin to describe the headache that ensued. I thought Windows 2000 was going nutty on me, because after cutting or copying or selecting multiple icons, it seemed to get stuck in those modes. It took a while before I realized it was this awful awful keyboard causing my troubles.

The only reason I realized it was the keyboard was because I was playing Unreal Tournament one day, and I was being irritated by the fact that I would continue walking forward when I wasn't pressing the up arrow. Then it all became clear to me! The letter keys hardly ever get stuck down, but Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Arrows, Space bar, Tab, Delete, and a whole bunch of others will suddenly get stuck down, many times without ever even being pressed! It's horribly frustrating. As soon as I move back home, this keyboard is going to meet a terrible, terrible death.

On another note, the memorex mouse also sucks. It's buttons sometimes also get stuck down, or refuse to work. I also have a Memorex scanner that I got for free after rebates, and it ALSO sucks. The colors are horrid. Will I be buying ANY Memorex products ever again? Probably not.
