Booked a cruise with Priceline.com on 10-9-11 and had a family member fall ill on 10-27-11 and was forced to cancel our cruise booked for 11-13-11. We had purchased the insurance protection plan, which covered nothing and then was promised a refund of all but $399.00 by Norwegian Cruise Lines and Priceline via 3 way phone conversation. A week went by and they credited nothing near what they promised, actually not even 1/2 of the promised return. When I called Priceline.com back they blamed the cruise line and after nearly an hour of conversations and supervisors, they said they needed would call me back after they got someone even higher available to call me within the next 10-20 minutes. After 3 hours went by I called back again, they knew nothing and I ended up on the same loop yet again. I have still, as of today, not recieved any other information and they say there is nothing they can do. It seems rediculous they book the cruise and sell insurance for this that means nothing and then say "It's not our responsibility or fault, it's the cruise line's". I have filed a formal complaint with both Priceline.com and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Sounds like a sweet deal taking their cut and having no liabilities for their bookings. Customer Service/Satisfaction is a 0/10 for me. I will never book through them again, buyer beware!
