Basically they messed up on the refund they promised me. My ipod touch got wet and was obviously not covered under the Apple warranty. I contacted Square Trade, explained what had happened, my claim was approved, they asked if I required payment into my bank account or an Amazon voucher. I requested payment into my back account, gave them all my details and what did they do? they send me an Amazon voucher, just what I did not want. After 2 weeks the problem is still not resolved even after several calls. Each time I call I have to explain what has happened, they then tell me how sorry they are and that they have to escalate the situation to a manager who will resolve the situation in 3 to 5 business days. But when I call back I am told the same story, I did manage to get them to send me an email confirming the problem but I had to ask for the email to be sent. I was also under the impression that this insurance policy would continue for the full 2 year period even if I claimed but it only covers one claim, maybe that was me being naïve.
