Last weekend I bought a pair of these new, cool, trendy skate shoes for my boyfriend. They were 50% off $50.00, so I figured they were a good deal. Cheap price for what I was told was the best quality in skate shoes.
My boyfriend used them gently, he did not abuse them at all. He used them at stores until he was kicked out, he used them at school until he was threatened of suspension. He used them to stake around the city in which we live. But maybe we expected too much out of them.
Within six days of purchase, he noticed the shoe begin to come apart at the white band of plastic on one side of one shoe. After a few more days, he noticed it happening to the other shoe as well. By today, these "high quality" skate shoes are abandoned in his bedroom, waiting to be returned to the store, because you can look into the white band and see the orange wheels from there.
I would advise passing up this brand of skate shoes if you plan to actually wear them.
