I tried to purchase six DieHard Marine Deep Cycle/RV batteries, item #02827582000. Mfr. Model #27582, for a heavy duty voltage inverter. According to the Sears website, there are no stores in a 300 mile radius that have them in stock (that is the maximum limit that the website will allow me to search). The stores stock only one battery. Fair enough; I did not expect them to stock six marine batteries. But I did not expect the fact that there was no way to order them, whatsoever! There was no way to pay for the items and pick them up at my local store when they arrive- the web site would only let me order what was in stock at the local stores. They lost a $700 sale because they could not drop ship these batteries. I tried contacting Sears customer Service, but every submission was barely read. Instead, I got a lot of "click and paste" baloney in return, to wit: "Please check for the item availability and place the order online and select the store pick up option for store pick up. We at Sears are here for you! Should you have any further queries or concerns, please feel free to reply. I am sure this information is helpful to you...We are here for you! We value your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Have a wonderful day!" So they lost the sale.
