I bought this saw 8 years ago when I was getting started in a part time landscaping business with the thoughts of buying a bigger and better one if things panned out and after I wore this one out.
Well, 8 years later and still in business I have actually tried to wear it out and have yet to do it. I have ripped dead mesquite logs for lumber, cut trees with diameter almost twice the length of the bar and it still hangs in there.
It starts up easily even if having been sitting for a year. I have not tried to maintain it other than keeping oil in it. I do not drain the gas out out for storage or worry about fresh gas as I do in my other equip.
Though I do not use it often, when I use it, it is very hard use.I'm sure it wouldnt hold up to heavy daily use for long, but for the occasional user, it is a bargain.
