I purchased this refrigerator in Feb of 2011. I am very dissatisfied with this whirlpool because about 4 months after having it, my ice from the ice-maker and the water smells horrible. I looked at what could be causing the problem online and noticed there were several others having this so called "sulfur smell" from this model. I went back to Sears describing to them what was happening and they advised me to clean out the ice-maker, put a box of baking soda in the freezer and change out the filter. I did all of these things and the problem was still there. I went back to the store and they told me that the problem would probably not go away. I am so mad because now I have a brand new name brand fridge, and I have to resort back to using 6 old fashioned ice trays and drinking out the faucet. The freezer freezes well, and the fridge is awesome besides that. I also looked online to see if anyone else maybe would have a suggestion on how to fix the problem and a lot of technician's stated it was probably my water supply. I do not feel that is correct being that I can not smell or taste that foul odor when the water comes out of my faucet and sits there in a cup. All in all I do not think I will be purchasing another Whirlpool product.
