Terrible! Will Never Buy Again

I purchased a book for my grandson for Christmas at buy.com. When it arrived I realized I had ordered the wrong one in the series. Since there's a lot of time before Christmas I was sure that a quick exchange could be made. Well, THINK AGAIN. A customer service rep informed me that you may NOT return books to buy.com unless they are defective. NEVER can this be done under any circumstances. I informed them that there is no other place from which I have ever bought books which had such a draconian policy. After much conversation the representative finally said that I could do it just this once. But she reiterated "just this once" so many times that I ended up feeling like I was somehow trying to rip them off. I told her that the book is exactly as they sent it and the hinge is so tight it's clearly unread if that's what she was worried about. But she started right in again on the "just this once" as though she were doing me a favor of enormous magnitude. I told her to forget it -- I did not want to deal with them further and will just find another use for it,
You'd think that would be as bad as it gets, but no -- it gets worse. I went to the site after I talked with them to leave feedback for the order, typed in my order number, last name, and phone number and it announced that they could find no such order. I strongly suspect they removed it ASAP as soon as we hung up.
I will never buy anything from these charlatans again. Very, very poor.
