As a professional photographer Adorama was my "go to" store. I have bought several lenses and other items from them over the years. Always had a good experience with timely deliveries.
You assume they are great to do business with UNTIL there is a problem. I purchased a Canon ST-E2 transmitter to fire my speedlites remotely. I didn't need or use the product for just over a month. When I did I found that unless the thing was pointed directly at the flash unit and no more than three feet away it would NOT fire the flash. I assumed I had a low battery so I replaced it and took it on another shoot. Again it was a total fail and I had NO light. I emailed Adorama and told them I'd like to return the product for a refund because it was not going to do what I needed it to.
They responded and said that since it was 30 days past my purchase date I would have to deal with Canon for a repair. Really? I don't want a repair, I want a refund! Too bad for me!
Folks I purchased a $6,500.00 lens from them earlier this year and have spent several hundreds of dollars with them in the past and they don't give a rip about making me happy as a customer. And if they don't care about me do you think they will care about you if there is a problem? ...probably not!
