| joanies1's Full Review: Dell Latitude CPi |
In the past 15 years, all of the computers I have owned have been Dells. They are truly reliable and affordable. Also, Dell Service is very good. Unlike IBM who could care less. My boss has an IBM laptop and it has needed re-imaging twice in the past year. My Dell CPi is nearly two years old and runs like a charm. I have left it out in the heat and frigid cold and it still works. It isn't the fastest laptop I have ever worked on, but it isn't the slowest either.
I have tons of stuff on my machine and have never run out of memory. I purchased it fully loaded with both a (removable) CD-ROM and disk drive. They are extremely easy to swap out.
The battery lasts for 4 hours, so I bought a back-up just in case I was on the road somewhere I couldn't plug into wall current.
The screen has very good resolution and is large enough for use when I am on the road. In the office I dock and have a 22 inch screen, which is much easier on my over forty eyes.
Because my sister has been around me and my computer, she is going to by a Dell. (Her IBM which is only three years old is completely shot.) My brother also is favoring a new Dell as he has been quite disappointed with what IBM calls service. So, I guess you could say we are a tried and true Dell family!
