I went online to book flight reservations for March 14 to Baltimore, returning to Atlanta on March 17. When the tickets arrived, the dates were for March 8, returning on March 10.

did you ask to speak to the agent's supervisor. I have always had better luck with a supervisor or the supervisor's supervisor.

Also, for what it is worth, Conde Nast's Traveler Magazine has an ombudsman column. The people there seem to get really good result for people in situations like yours. You might want to see if they would help you out.
