I recently ordered an electric blanket to be delivered for the holidays on Sears.com well in advance of the holiday (December 7th) and used a Sears gift card to purchase part of the amount of the product and then paid the rest on credit card. A confirmation email for the order was sent to me with an expected delivery date of 12/19. December 19th came and went and no blanket. Upon calling customer service to inquire about the order I was informed that I would have to contact the third party seller for Sears myself (which is extremely unprofessional because the Sears representitive should have followed through for me). I agreed and called and emailed the third party seller to say that I would still be interested in receiving the blanket if it could arrive before 12/23. The third party seller emailed me back to simply say that my order had been cancelled because the blanket was out of stock and I would be refunded. No notification, nothing from either Sears or thehomestore.com that my order was cancelled. I was furious. This is the worst customer service I have experienced online. I immediately called JC Penney and drove out to their local location to pick up a wonderful comperable product for less. I will never shop from Sears.com again. I also asked for my gift card balance to be refunded since I tossed the original card after ordering the blanket assuming my credit was used up and the order would go through. If the card does not get re-issued I will never shop at Sears again. Too bad for them since I like Kenmore and also buy appliances from them.
