Pros:Another great Keene mystery!
Cons:A little slow... does not progress as quickly as other Nancy Drew books.
The Bottom Line: Great for true die hard Nancy Drew fans, but not one for the first-timer to read.
As always, this is another great Carolyn Keene mystery - for people of all ages. I've been reading Nancy Drew mysteries for the last 20 years, and will continue to do so for another 60 (hopefully!).
To write a review about this book and not give the ending away is almost impossible. I was disappointed in this book because it seemed to take forever to have any action happen. It was a slow progress to find out what the mystery was all about. When you finally DO find out what Nancy is trying to solve, the book is almost over. In my eyes, Keene spent too long trying to tell us the 'clues', and to help point out who the vilan should be. I believe the problem with the climax of this book was there were too many different mysteries happening, so it was tricky to find out which was the actual 'main mystery' of the book.
Nancy Drew fans out there, yes, read this book - it is tricky to figure out, clever, and the characters are in their wonderful form as always. However, new Nancy Drew readers, this might not be the best book to start off with. I think you would get a distorted impression of Keene's real writing ability.
