We recently bought the scotsman commercial ice machine (CU3030MA-32A) for my pizzeria. We had an ice machine that was not making ice very quickly. The repair man told us that we needed to replace the thermostat. He said he would recommend getting another unit because ours was not really worth the repair.
After some research we decided to go with the Scotsman. We needed something that made medium sized cubes and fit under our counter. It also had to keep up with demand we will have during the hot summer months. This machine seems to fit the bill.
I found the machine at instawares through google. Since the machine cost over $2k I decided to call them about it. The customer service person was very helpful. They explained how shipping would work and that the machine had a 3 year warranty. They also transferred me to the sales department where I got a 5% discount on my order.
It took 4 days after I ordered to receive the ice machine. It was very easy to install. In a couple of hours it was producing a lot of ice. The new ice made me realize that the old machine's ice had a slight odor. That alone reassures me that I made the right decision buying a new ice machine.
Overall I am very happy with the machine. It makes ice very fast. I plan on buying from instawares in the future.
