I would not hesitate to recommend Quicken Loans to anyone seeking to refinance their home. In mid-December 2011, I decided to take advantage of the great interest rates and refinance my home to a 15 year fixed rate mortgage. I checked with the mortgage brokers listed in the Washington Post for current rates, points and charges. Then I went online to one of the competetive mortgage rate sites where you request bids from several loan brokers. I was called by a representative of Quicken Loans who offered me a rate of 3.5% with no points. That was competetive with the offers from the other lenders and, the Quicken Loans rep said that the process would be hassle-free. It was!
All I had to do was fill out an on-line application and upload some supporting information (e.g. proof of income, tax returns, etc.), All in all much easier than even faxing, mailing copies or visiting an office with copies of everything. When I had questions or problems uploading anything, my loan officer or one of his assistants was just a phone call away and they responded quickly to any emails I sent. They kept me abreast of the status of my application during every step of the process.
By mid-January my loan had been approved and the closing took place right in my home. The Quicken Loans representative had everything ready and I had been sent all the documents to review in advance. Closing was completed in 45 minutes. I received a gift card for writing this review, regardless of whether I had a positive or negative experience.
