my daughter registered for wedding gifts at her near-by Target store - no assistance from staff , scanner quit working half way through, when she got home she found that alot of the items were not available in store or on line - but that does not appear anywhere while you are registering. Also, prices changed. She had picked out an appliance that I wanted to order on line but found it had a $39+ shipping charge (they advertise free shipping on $50+ orders - but you have to read the fine print - only certain items qualify) I wanted to purchase other items so I drove the 1hr15min drive to Greensburg PA store - where price was $30 more than stated on registry which was already more than was stated in the store my daughter went to - I was told by cashier and manager - rather rudely - that Targets don't have the same prices from store to store-they don't match and that Target.com is a separate entity. I explained the price said on-line and in store - they made a case of proving me wrong after going into the details of the applicance on-line which I did not do - I was just ordering off the registry. So I said forget it - I stopped at a Walmart on the way home - and guess what? - I found the EXACT same mixer for $50 less and had the most polite cashier- so Target visa card will get closed and if someone I know registers there again - they will get a gift from a different store from me.
