Thanks for the comment. I value other opinions so much and it's lovely to find somebody who seems to express them so eloquently.

Thanks for the warning! (Reply to this comment)

Now I'll know what not to play should we ever find ourselves trapped in an elevator with a boom box together.
I guess I'll just consider myself lucky that I found this release before reading your review, or I would have cheated myself out of one of (my) life's little pleasures.
Its easier to let my old words on this album speak than try to come up with new thoughts after reading your take. From my review...
"I don't expect everyone to like this album. This is music and words made for that small portion of society that prefers the deep end of the pool, and isn't content until they've tested the limits of their lungs to sustain them underwater. There is nothing shallow to be found here.
This is the effort of a songwriter who has looked deep within himself and yanked out the secrets and stories that have haunted him for so long; that have kept him awake at night. This is music primarily suited for people who are introspective, critical of self, and happy that way. This is an affirmation for those who have ever questioned the validity of a relationship, and an especially good listen for those who have ever ended a relationship they shouldn't have been in to begin with, yet remain uneasy with the way things went down. Cathartic rock. That's what we ought to call it."
Ain't it funny how the same notes can ring so differently in another's ears?
