Where I work we are not supposed to surf the internet. I subscribe to some email newsletters but they all require you to connect to the internet to get the rest of the story. Are there any email newsletters that download the entire story in your email? Millions of people have the same work restrictions I have. This would be a great market for someone.

...and is probably at the root of whatever problems people have with AvantGo. I use it for very limited applications because my Palm PDA is an assistant on as-needed basis when I know I won't have easy Internet access from a laptop, not a spouse that I'm married to for life for all purposes. I use it when I have to only, and I have found that it's great for downloading and storing practical info I need to have accessible on a road trip ... schedules, directions, client information, etc. I even just downloaded my NCAA basketball tourney bracket from CBS Sportsline.com so I can keep tabs on how badly my selections are doing.
For that type of short-term application, it gives me everything I need, and I don't worry about the rest.
