| sherrycrooks's Full Review: General Reviews of Nextel Customer Service |
My husband and I chose Nextel thinking that we could avoid some of our cellular expense by using the Nextel direct connect. If only we had known about the service behind the technology. I ordered my phone first through Nextel. All seemed well, that was until I tried to order my husband's phone. You would have thought that I was asking for a miracle. In fact, I even went as far as getting Motorola involved (the manufacture of the phones) thinking this would help. After all, I did not want special treatment - all I wanted to do was order the phone and actually receive it. After ordering the phone over four times (each time on a different 800 number given to me by one of the support personnel who informed me that was the ONLY number to order from.) Regardless, after 1.5 months, my husband's phone did arrive.
Senseless me, thought - wow, my husband chose a nice phone - I would like to upgrade mine. Here we are, now 3 orders have been placed - no phone and no calls to tell me what happened to the orders I had placed. Ironically, a charge for $1.00 appeared on my credit card statement - I guess they are charging me in installments - the phone is $200.00 - so I expect sometime with in the next 5 years I will pay the phone off according to their schedule.
