Being the starved college student that I am, I'm a member of countless rewards programs on the internet. I recently discovered that the best way to make money online is by taking surveys. Although they may seem more time-consuming than the usual clicking/searching/signing up-for-offers type of program, in the long-run surveys are the faster earners.
I joined NFO Interactive (www.mysurvey.com) in October last year. In four short months I had enough points to redeem for a $10 check, which took 23 days to reach me. I had comparatively fewer surveys, and therefore had to spend much less time on NFO, because the only person in my 'household' was myself. However, it might be different in your case, because NFO sends out payable surveys to everyone in your home, hence the one-account-per-household rule.
NFO stands high on my list because they send out more surveys than other online panels. The initial survey is usually not worth more than 10 or 20 points but, if you qualify for the rest of the survey, you can get up to 1500. The amount of points you get is directly related to how long the survey will take you to complete, and you're told how long that will be right at the start.
You're notified by email when you have a new survey waiting for you. It's best to take these surveys as soon as possible, because they could close the second there are enough respondents. This is a big problem with paying survey sites, as surveys often get enough people almost as soon as they're sent out. However, I haven't faced this problem with NFO so far, even when I took a survey 2-3 days after it was assigned to me.
NFO's surveys are quite simple, and you don't have to tax your brain like some other surveys sites require you to do. The website is fast, user-friendly and easy to navigate. I only wish there was some way to change demographic and other information from the website itself without having to email NFO, but that's just about the only problem I have.
Referring a friend gives you 150 points. That's $1.50 for each and every valid referral! As long as the person joining is 14 years or older, a resident of the 48 contiguous United States, and completes the welcome survey, they're eligible.
The conversion system at NFO is quite simple: 1000 points equals $10, making each point worth a cent. You get to choose between cash, raffle tickets, supercertificates, various pieces of merchandise and donations to charities.
A grand prize of 10,000 points ($100) is awarded daily to any one person who was smart enough to log in that day. This is no joke: Some one I know actually won! There are also several $10,000 sweepstakes held throughout the year.
Yes, NFO is definitely my favorite survey panel. I like how I get a guaranteed reward AND sweepstake entries; most surveys ONLY enter you into drawings, and I've never ever been lucky enough to win. This way I keep my hopes high and, at the same time, get something solid in return.
