Pros:1)very thin
2) Touchscreen is definitely a luxury
3) Very good HD 1080p recording.

Cons:- Has no grip
- No external microphone slot
- Zooming could be better

The Bottom Line: I recommend this camera because of this a luxurious and stylish camera that also has good picture taking quality, lots of modes, and excellent HD recording.

The Sony tx55 is a very sleek camera with good picture quality and superior 1080p HD recording. What I like most about this camera is how thin and stylish it looks. The black color looks really clean and frankly, sexy.

Compared to the its older models, this tx55 model isn't that much of an upgrade. Touchscreen is a little smoother, though not perfect. The Exmor lenses are similar to other Sony camera models. Essentially, you're paying for the style and look, while having verstaile point and shoot camera that can do wonders when recording.

The touchscreen on the back is solid. It's not quite as good as an Iphone's toucscreen, forcing you to touch twice sometimes. The left and right swipes are responsive as well. The areas in which aren't so sensitive are the corners.

In terms of modes, I really like the intelligent auto mode, which already helps you focus. THe background defocus gives you a very DSLR-like picture style. The sweep panoramic shot is great; it lets you take about a 180 degree photo and compile it instantly into one picture. You can also start from left to right, bottom to top, top to bottom, and so forth. The tx55 is plentiful with modes.

Overall, this camera is a luxury point and shoot camera, with it's touchsreen and slide front cover, and good picture quality and solid HD recording.
