It was very easy to sign up for stamps.com. Also easy to set it up. And also easy to navigate. My kind of site. I was also pleased to have the opportunity for freebies. Another option I enjoy. You get $5.00 of free postage and you also can acquire a 5-lb. scale.
I found Stamps.com because I couldn't figure out how to print out labels for people who had not paid me on eBay or through paypal. And I also wanted to print out labels for parcel post and media mail. Neither paypal nor the USPS site would allow me to do these things. Stamps.com DID allow me to accomplish these goals.
At first I was put off because there was an option to have a free scale mailed to me, or to buy a fancier scale. I wanted the service immediately. As soon as I realized I didn't need to purchase the scale OR have one mailed to me, I was able to breeze through the set up. After I finished printing my postage, I explored a bit more. I still can have the free scale mailed to me if I so choose. An additional neat surprise was the free $5.00 in postage they offer you during the trial period. Nice touch.
I think there's even more services I can use, and I can't wait to explore further.
