In S.L.P!? (Reply to this comment)

I enjoyed your review! I just can't believe there's a Westin in S.L.P.. I haven't been down there in about 10 years or so - I used to go to Matehuala on occasion. The state is so poor, I am amazed but glad to hear of the economic progress!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this epinion, and don't worry Amanda, I'll certainly mention ways to save money on hotel bills whenever I review a hotel.

Tom, the nopalitos looked like they were diced and sauteed with diced onions. My mother in law makes a delicious nopalito salad that I bet would be outstanding as a stuffing for fish -- it's essentially pico de gallo mixed with diced nopalito -- que rico!

Later y'all!

I love how you call out the "villains."

"fish stuffed with nopalito" ...is that, like, finely diced bits of cactus? During Lent, there's this traditional seafood dish, camarones con nopales (I don't remember the actual name of the dish) that my wife likes. Only mention it because she had it last night, while I had some swordfish and Tecate.

Great review,
