I purchase accessories, luggage, and specialty items from Scuba.com at least four times per year. Delivery time is always as expected and fair delivery charges. Prices/values are outstanding. Product descriptions are accurate. In 5 years of shopping at Scuba.com, I have never needed to call customer service. When looking for scuba gear, Scuba.com is always top on list.
This time I bought trauma shears for myself and my daughter. I think it is important to have quality products that are reliable but not so expensive that you would risk your life to recover or retrieve a lost item. These trauma shears fit the bill. At Scuba.com's bargin price, I bought back-ups. We like to dive with trauma shears on our belts rather than knives. They tend to rust or get lost, so they generally last one or two seasons, so it is great to stock up and not having to worry whether there will be a spare in our kits. There are rust-less trauma shears that cost 4 times as much, but then you would be more apt to worry about losing them when you might be better off letting them go. Also, if these shears do get lost, there won't be much left in the ocean after a few years of salt water except the plastic handle covers.
I also bought a small titanium knife that will strap in nicely to my pocket; not nearly as convenient or accessible as the trauma shears, but will serve as a back-up if the trauma shears get loose from their sheath. At Scuba.com prices, it is affordable to have back-ups.
There are other good scuba gear sites on the web, but none are better than Scuba.com
