I checked into this about a year ago and 1-800 Contacts had my brand considerably cheaper than what I pay for them at my eye doctor. The problem was that when I called my eye doctor to get the necessary information, he acted like it was a bad idea. He said that he heard bad things from many of his patients about ordering contacts online, and he strongly advised me against it. I didn't really know much about it so I let the matter drop. However, I did just go back to him yesterday for another exam and haven't actually ordered the new boxes of contacts yet, so I might call him Monday and tell him I am going to try 1-800 Contacts this time. I am wondering now if the reason he told me "horror stories" is because he didn't want to lose the money, because somebody is definitely making some money on these contacts because there is about a $25 difference in price!!
Anyway, thanks for the information; very timely for me!
