| sstexas's Full Review: Logitech Quickcam Express Internet Webcam |
I just purchased a logitech express cam for $ 69 at Staple.
I thought now that I have a new P4 1.5 GHZ computer running windows XP the time was right to try out a cam.
I saw this cam at Staples. It was about half the price of the other cams . It also promised extremely easy ease of use.
I brought it home and set up was a snap . Considering that this was my first cam I thought it would be difficult to get it to work. I was wrong. The cam was up and running in about 15 minutes.
The included software is very nice. It walks you throught everything you might was to do. The cam also interfaces well with Yahoo messanger .
The pros are definitely ease of set up and ease of use. I would highly recommend this cam for someone who want to use it for very basis jobs. It is a good cam but very basic.
One the negative side the images are adequate, but definately not professional quality.
The screen size of the cam is on the small side and can not be enlarged. The cam does not have a built in mic . The included software does not include microsoft net meeting.
I have decided that while this unit is adequate, I am going to spend more money and get a more " advanced" cam.
This cam will look after most basic users needs, but I figure I will have it for a few years and a better one with a built in mic is not really that much more expensive
